London – Liverpool manager, Brendan Rodgers, do not know if Daniel Sturridge can play again in the rest of the season. The worst possibility is Sturridge will finish the season faster.
Injuries such as a scourge for the season Sturridge after only appeared 18 times in all competitions this season. After being hit by a hamstring injury, calves, and thighs at the beginning of the season, which kept him out five months, Sturridge is now experiencing problems in their hips.
As a result Sturridge has missed the last three games in ‘The Red’ which makes them increasingly difficult to make a goal, only make three goals, plus knocked out of the FA Cup semi-final.
With five games left of the season again, obviously Sturridge Liverpool need power to be able to deliver them to qualify for the Champions League next season.
But that hope seems to be difficult to fulfilled because Sturridge in fact still in the treatment room, while Rodgers not know when the 25-year-old striker could play again. Most bad news is that the former Chelsea it should rest until the end of the season.
“It’s difficult for him, Daniel was a good player who just wants to play and help the team, but this season is not going well for him,” Rodgers said on Sky Sports.
“He was just out of luck and every day we have to keep an eye on the situation and see the progress,” he continued.
“He was very brilliant when it was in fit condition. It’s just a matter of making it back fit. We have to see whether it could be this season or preseason,” he said.
