Manchester – Ambitious bring home the full point, instead defeated Tottenham Hotspur at home to Manchester City. These results make manager Mauricio Pochettino disappointed.
In the match at Etihad Stadium on Saturday (10/18/2014), the Spurs surrendered 1-4 from the City. The Lilywhites must be willing to be uprooted four times their goal by the home team’s mainstay striker Sergio Aguero. Two of the four goals Aguero created through penalty.
Spurs could only reply once to a goal by Christian Eriksen. They actually had a chance to equalize the score at 2-2, but Roberto Soldado penalty thwarted by Joe Hart.
“I was really disappointed with the result because it does not reflect the situation in the game,” said Pochettino told Spurs TV.
“For me, there are two key moments: Soldado penalty and a penalty in the first half, offense (Erik) Lamela against Frank Lampard, first penalty,” he added.
“But this is football. Important to take the positive side and trying to improve. We never give up,” Pochettino said.
After the defeat of City, Spurs now sit eighth in the Premier League standings. They collected 11 points from eight games.
