Pochettino disappointment

Stoke-on-Trent – Tottenham Hotspur already upset his manager, Mauricio Pochettino, the match against Stoke City. Pochettino was disappointed because the Spurs played badly and eventually defeated.

Spurs gave up with the score 0-3 to the host Stoke in the Premier League at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday (05/09/2015). They’ve left behind two goals at halftime after Charlie Adam and Steven Nzonzi goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

Under conditions of lagging, even Spurs lost one player. Vlad Chiriches sent off in the 51st minute after receiving a second yellow card.

Mame Biram Diouf eventually add to the suffering Spurs in the final minutes. He goalkeeper Lloris to ensure Stoke won 3-0.

“I think we played badly from the start. In the second half, we played better with 10 players than with 11 players,” said Pochettino on Soccerway.

“We are very disappointed. The way we lost in this match shows that we must be tough and ready to fight. In the first half we did not fight,” he added.

“We have to play better. We made some mistakes and conceded two goals. In the second half, we showed spirit, but it was too late,” said Pochettino.

This defeat Spurs shut chance to finish in the top four this season zone. They now sit in sixth position with 58 points, ten points adrift of Manchester United, who finished fourth. Hope left for the Lilywhites is the ticket to the Europa League next season.
