Nurnberg – Germany coach Joachim Loew is not satisfied even though his team was able to win over Gibraltar. Loew was disappointed because Germany only won by four goals.
Loew disappointment is not without reason. As a new country to join UEFA, Gibraltar is so easy target and barns goals other countries.
In the previous three games in the European Cup Qualifier 2016, Gibraltar has always lost heavily. Their faces made of Poland and the Republic of Ireland each with a score of 0-7 and 0-3 after losing to Georgia.
With its status as a world champion, Germany is predicted to beat Gibraltar with fantastic scores. But, Die Nationalmannschaft failed to meet expectations.
Germany only won by a score of 4-0 in a match at Grundig Gibraltar–Stadion, Nurnberg, Saturday (11/15/2014) pm dawn. Thomas Mueller contributed two goals, Mario Goetze added a goal, and the other goal was an own goal Yogen Santos.
“I am far from satisfied,” said Loew in Soccerway.
“The team does not meet expectations and demands. If we want to play like a champion, then four goals too little,” he added.
“We want to always take control of the area, which did not materialize – especially in the second half,” said Loew.
“Against teams like that, it is always important to play wide and deep. We used to play in the middle,” said 54-year coach.
Thanks to the victory over Gibraltar, Germany climbed to second place in Group D standings with seven points from four games. They are three points adrift of Poland, who led the standings.
