Liverpool – Jordan Henderson has entered the final 18 months of his contract at Liverpool. However, the Reds midfielder refused to think about it until the season ends.
Henderson has now become one of the vital figure for Liverpool. The 24-year-old even predicted as a strong candidate to replace Steven Gerrard as captain next season.
Gerrard himself had urged Liverpool to give Henderson a new contract, together with Raheem Sterling. Both players have the same contract that will expire in 2017.
But Henderson still reluctant to think too much about his contract situation. Choosing to focus on the game, the England international is not a problem if you have to wait until the end of the season to discuss the contract.
“Coming from someone like him is a huge compliment, but it’s just something that could break my attention from the football and I do not want that to happen. I think Raheem is also the same,” shaut Henderson told Sky Sports News HQ.
“We just focus on our football and our agents will finish it. Hopefully they can soon finish, otherwise we are just going to wait until the end of the season.”
“It does not really affect us as players. It does not really depend on us, it depends on the club and the agent to finish and we just focus on what we should do, which is play football,” lugasnya.
