Manchester – Manchester City Kans to become champions this season is relatively thin. City captain, Vincent Kompany, was being realistic. The best thing they can do now is finish as possible.
After the 1-2 defeat of Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Tuesday (7/4) morning pm, City behind nine points from the top standings, Chelsea. From being a contender to become the champion, the City is now drawn in the race for the top four zones.
Even if ultimately failed to win this season, Kompany is determined to bring the City into champions next season. However, to do so, the City calls should finish the season as possible.
“That became my goal now is to bring the best performance of the team,” said Kompany as reported by ESPN FC.
“I’ve learned from the previous season, if we finish with a good position, it could give a nice effect for next season.”
City performance decline since January 10, 2014, when they drew 1-1 Everton. In the next 13 games, City swallow seven defeats and only four wins in all competitions.
Note bad it makes them knocked out of the FA Cup, Champions League, and now stalled at number four Premier League standings.
Kompany said the team was determined to vent frustration at Old Trafford in Manchester derby this weekend, Sunday (12/4).
